The Box

Worst movie ever. Need I go into more detail? If you’ve seen it you know exactly what I’m talking about. This film is actually based off a short film that I saw on YouTube several years ago. Without a doubt that 7 minute film was 100x better than this piece-o-trash. Granted, I did enjoy the dilemma Arthur was faced with towards the end of the film. That’s a heavy decision, but an interesting situation doesn’t save a 115-minute film that blew. And there was a good camera angle as the parents ran upstairs to get to Walter. It was the PSYCHO angle but 90 degrees tilted to the right.

The Box Trailer

Please don’t waste your time with this film. It’s filled with 2 hours of emptiness. We don’t care about the characters, the situations they are in, or their misfortunes. The story is terrible and they thought they could save it by throwing in random eternal/afterlife clichés here and there with portals and redemption pathways, etc.

The only redeeming part of this film is the final 20 minutes, which were actually quite good. Now if they only could have made the rest of the film worthwhile. WATCH THE ORIGINAL SHORT FILM HERE: THE BLACK BUTTON

FAVORITE QUOTE FROM ROTTEN TOMATOES CRITIC: “Think very carefully before you attempt to unlock the mysteries of The Box. There is no going back, you cannot undo your decision, you will never get back those 115 minutes, and by the horrifying end, those same 115 minutes will feel like a life sentence.
